NAMCO, a Japan-based corporation best known for introducing the world to pellet-hungry PAC-MAN, approached Blind Society to help solve the riddle. What began with creative and collaborative brainstorms, later became a comprehensive top-down and inside-out approach to determining what it is that defines a successful social destination experience, while also finding the sweet-spot fit for our nostalgia-inducing yellow pal. Embarking on an intensive set of strategy, creative and research-based deliverables, Blind Society helped NAMCO visualize and identify their brand essence— from their venue name to the smallest ‘bit’ found within (yes, including the unique shade of bowling-screen purple).
After examining all 256+ angles of the new concept’s brand identity, we took PAC-MAN out of the arcade cabinet and into Level 257: a fun dining, entertainment and social experience.
